Cabernet Sauvignon

Originally from the Médoc and the Graves in the Bordeaux area in France it is one of the most widespread vines in the world, suitable for the most diverse climatic conditions and wine-making techniques, with its grapes are produced wines of remarkable quality and great longevity.

In Bordeaux it is often used in assembly with Cabernet franc and Merlot, the blend obtained is commonly known as “Bordeaux blend”, from the area where it was initially introduced.
Probably deriving from the cross between Cabernet Franc and the Sauvignon white grape, the Cabernet sauvignon, while maintaining its recognizable characteristics, expresses however perfectly also those of the terroir.

Cultivated not only in France, in the United States, in South Africa, in Argentina and Australia, in Italy we find it in the North and in the Center, especially famous in the area of ​​Bolgheri where they determined the phenomenon “Supertuscan”.

In San Marino it is found in the 5 streets, in Montegiardino and in Faetano.
Equipped with a high concentration of polyphenols and anthocyanins, it has the characteristics that make it suitable for long aging in wood, the wines obtained from its grapes are in fact very colorful and with a structure that gives an excellent longevity.
The bunch is often small and compact and the maturation is medium-late.
