This red wine, born from the best selections of merlot, cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc grapes, is dedicated to Filippo da Sterpeto, first Captain Regent in 1243 of the oldest republic in the world. 18 months of aging in barrique and 12 months in bottle, characterize this wine of great structure and longevity, produced only in the best vintages.

    • Harvesting period: late September – early October;
    • Variety : 50% Merlot – 30% Cabernet Sauvignon – 20% Cabernet Franc;
    • Vinification : soft pressing, maceration on skins for 15 days, fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel;
    • Ageing: aged in French oak barriques for 18 months and in bottles for 12 months;
    • Analytical characteristics: 14% alcohol;
    • Tasting temperature: 16 / 18 °;

    Organoleptic Characteristics

    • Colour: deep ruby red;
    • Fragrance : fine and fruity, nuances of red fruits and berries such as blackberry, blueberry and cherry, with notes of undergrowth, spices, vanilla and a balsamic finale;
    • Flavour : well structured and very persistent, soft and harmonic with sweet tannins and just the right amount of acidity;
